A large Chinese Longquan celadon glazed & decorated incense tripod censer.
Ming Dynasty, 16th century.
The large rounded bowl decorated in lotus stems and flowerheads, sits atop 3 feet moulded as lion masks. The recessed neck, also decorated, leads to a everted rim.

Condition: Old staple repair to stabilize two cracks - one from the rim to the centre and the second laterally from the first. Both with chipping to the glaze. Another crack from the rim reinforced with a single staple. Further short hairlines and heavy crazing. The usual firing imperfection, including on large spot of slag next to one of the repairs.
