A Bellarmine bottle from the end of the 16th century. The attractive wide necked bottle with a face to the front and 3 matching medallions to the round belly. Each medallion decorated with the coat of arms for Cologne and dated 1594. As typical to c1600 dates on these particular bottles, the numbers are stylized. Bottle bottle sits on a turned and banded foot.

Condition: Although a rare and attractive item, this bottle has be restored from two pieces. The pieces, probably from 2 different bottles, joins through the neck, between the nose and mouth and the handle - the seam having been filled and coloured to match. The bottom half of the handle restored. Also with a restored chip to the foot. Please look over the photos carefully.
