Early German salt glaze stoneware large size jug made in Raeren. 1st half of the 16th century.
Beautiful colouring of the salt glaze throughout. Very nicely proportioned with a skilfully crafted foot.
Condition: Area of restoration to the rim of a large chip, and also a restored section of the foot. Further small chip to the rim and usual production imperfections. Please see photos carefully.
