An attractive Rhenish post medieval Bellarmine jug with a grimacing face. Made in Frechen in the mid-17th century. The medallion with a typical stylised floral pattern within a cartouche.

Condition: Chips to the face, neck cordons, lip and foot. Small area of damage where it was stuck to another bottle during firing. The neck and handle have been re-stuck to the body - clean line, without restoration. Alongside the usual imperfections.
