A rare and very nicely bulbous shaped & cobalt splashed bellarmine bottle. The face with a formal beard, splashed in cobalt which dates this to between 1580 and 1620. A good and large medallion of a cobalt splashed stylised portrait - the same medallion can be seen on a bottle in the Sampson and Horne Collection, shown in their Bonhams collection sale lot number 29.
