Late 17th century English Delft posset pot. Bellied form with twin scrolled handles. Painted in shades of blue and manganese with near matching scenes of Chinese figures within stylized lush landscapes. Unusually in the form of a loving cup - spout less.
Likely Brislington.
Previously with the Graham Slater Collection, and also the O Gollancz Collection.
Condition: Some larger chips around the rim. Rubbing to the glaze. Fritting and crazing. A number of short hairlines running from the rim. Both handles with restoration. Please look over the photos carefully.
