Small 17th Century Bellarmine Bottle, Salt Glazed Witch Bottle - Frechen 15.5cm

A rare small sized post-medieval Bellarmine jug.  An attractive speckled salt glaze colouring with the top 2/3rds dipped in a darker wash.

Condition: Original intact condition. Some chips around the flayed foot and a scratch to the shoulder. Usual firing faults.
